op-ed in The Columbus Dispatch this week calling out opponents Josh Mandel and Mike Gibbons for supporting a no-fly zone over Ukraine. In part he writes:
Both of these repeat candidates have embarrassed themselves in recent Ohio debates in various ways, but the most telling signal for America First voters is their full-throated advocacy for a no-fly zone in Ukraine, enforced by our NATO European partners.
For Gibbons and Mandel to support such escalation signifies how unthoughtful and reckless they are in their positions. Their stance disqualifies them on its face and would jeopardize American lives while likely transforming a clearly regional conflict into a global war.

OUR OWN BORDER CRISIS. JD penned an

op-ed in The Federalist about the full-throtted focus on Ukraine at the expense of our own problems here at home. In part the article says:
We are now in the second week of around-the-clock obsession by U.S. media and political leaders about Ukraine. The rhetoric has grown increasingly alarming, and the media reports are increasingly detached from reality.
Amid the imagery of horrific war and carnage in Ukraine, Biden’s open borders have unleashed significant carnage in our own country that has received far less media coverage. America has a border crisis, to be sure, and it’s not some shifting demarcation 6,000 miles away, it’s our very own southern border.
It’s insulting to our own citizens, and strategically stupid, to devote billions of resources to Ukraine while ignoring the problems in our own country. Let’s stop doing it, and force the American leadership to answer the question of who they actually care about.
