I'm not a politician, John.But I know the Central Valley community. I've worked serving students and their parents for two decades as an educator in public schools. My husband has spent his career working in the ag industry here.

I've received a ton of advice from "experts'' and operatives who always seem to know what's best. And it's the same story: raise as much money as possible, stay away from the tough questions in the press, and buy up TV ads as we get closer to the election.

I can tell you right now that's not how I'm going to run this campaign.

Kevin McCarthy wants us to believe that he can't be beat. But I've seen what this community is capable of when we come together -- and that's exactly what it's going to take to get this done.
