Support the Legal Defense Fund

Dear Friend of the National Parks,

NPCA's National Parks Legal Defense Fund is involved in more
than 30 lawsuits with enormous consequences for the future of your
national parks. And when we go to court to fight these high-stakes
battles for the parks, we need dedicated supporters like you standing
with us.

That's why I want to remind you that NPCA's campaign to
support our National Parks Legal Defense Fund ends in less than a
week. We are short of our $30,000 goal - and we haven't
heard from you.

But you still have time to double your impact for the parks!
Friend of the National Parks, please join NPCA today to have it matched 100% to
defend our park legacy to future generations in the courts, in
Congress, and all across the country. And recieve an NPCA satchel as
our gift to you!

When combined with the matching funds, your generous donation will go
twice as far to help NPCA's legal team mount a strong and
strategic defense of the parks' air, water, wildlife and visitor
experiences. Today, we are fighting to:

* Block the "road to ruin" - an illegally
authorized 210-mile private mining road that would cut through
Alaska's Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve,
cross the Kobuk Wild River and disrupt the migration of the
Western Arctic Caribou Herd.
* Hold the National Park Service and the Department of the
Interior accountable for failing to fulfill their legal
responsibilities to protect Biscayne National Park, leaving the
park's magnificent underwater treasures unprotected
against the ravages of overuse and commercial fishing.
* Address the worsening air pollution in national parks across the
country, including Sequoia and Yosemite. NPCA has filed suit to
compel the Environmental Protection Agency to enforce the Clean
Air Act and ensure that park visitors, staff and wildlife have
safe air to breathe.

These cases - and the many others our attorneys are fighting
right now - are the most effective way to provide enduring
protections for America's most iconic and important places.

It takes a great deal of time and money to litigate on behalf of
national parks. That's why it is essential that we reach our
campaign goal for our National Parks Legal Defense Fund by midnight on
March 31.

And we'll only get there with the help of dedicated NPCA
supporters like you.

Please don't miss this special opportunity. Join today and
DOUBLE the power of your support for the parks you love!

P.S. NPCA's National Parks Legal Defense Fund is fighting hard
in court and beyond to secure the national parks legacy we will pass
on to future generations. But we need to reach our $30,000 goal before
the month ends to keep up the fight. Please donate now.
