• Block the “road to ruin” — an illegally authorized 210-mile private mining road that would cut through Alaska’s Gates of the Arctic National Park & Preserve, cross the Kobuk Wild River and disrupt the migration of the Western Arctic Caribou Herd.


• Hold the National Park Service and the Department of the Interior accountable for failing to fulfill their legal responsibilities to protect Biscayne National Park, leaving the park’s magnificent underwater treasures unprotected against the ravages of overuse and commercial fishing.


• Address the worsening air pollution in national parks across the country, including Sequoia and Yosemite. NPCA has filed suit to compel the Environmental Protection Agency to enforce the Clean Air Act and ensure that park visitors, staff and wildlife have safe air to breathe.

These cases — and the many others our attorneys are fighting right now — are the most effective way to provide enduring protections for America’s most iconic and important places.

It takes a great deal of time and money to litigate on behalf of national parks. That’s why it is essential that we reach our campaign goal for our National Parks Legal Defense Fund by midnight on March 31.
