I won’t mince words, John. Kevin McCarthy just told CNN I will
not be on the House Intelligence Committee if the GOP wins the majority.
The committee I currently chair.

I’ve got to tell you, that’s pretty rich coming from Kevin McCarthy.

It wasn’t too long ago McCarthy privately asserted to Republican leaders
that Donald Trump was on Putin’s payroll. These days, you’re more likely
to find him sorting Trump’s Starbursts or refusing to utter a bad word
about the GOP’s dear leader. He appointed Devin Nunes chairman several
years ago, but I’m the one supposedly making the Intel Committee
political? Give me a break.

Every accusation is an admission from McCarthy. Someone who must never
become Speaker of the House. And we have the power to stop him.

campaign today to help us respond to McCarthy’s attacks and prevent him
from ever becoming Speaker in a GOP majority? The stakes are becoming
increasingly more dire.

I’ll be honest, John. Whenever there’s a Republican attack
like this, it opens the floodgates for the Fox News Misinformation Machine
and Trump’s right-wing online following to pile on. So we need a big
response today.

Kevin McCarthy voted to overturn the last presidential election, and if he
should become Speaker, he would do so again — only this time he would
succeed. So we must stop him from gaining a majority.

We just can’t lose the House to the likes of McCarthy and the QAnon Caucus
that’s driving the GOP agenda. It’s why I’m humbly asking for your support
today.
