Hi team,

President Biden’s nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court is a historic milestone for marginalized communities everywhere: since the creation of the Court in 1789, America has had 115 Justices – and only seven of them have been women or people of color. And none of them were Black women. Now, we’re finally heading in the right direction to ensure that we can one day have a diverse Supreme Court that is truly representative of everyone in our country.

That’s why we’re asking for your help today to add your name in support of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation! Will you take a moment to join the millions of Americans who support this incredibly important milestone? [[link removed]]

Judge Jackson is an extraordinarily qualified candidate for the position: not only has she risen from a public defender to the federal appellate court, but she has also clerked for Justice Breyer and received a nomination from President Obama to serve as the Vice Chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission.

Her accomplishments have helped make her the first Black woman to be nominated to the highest court in the land. And Yvette knows the importance of trailblazing in representation, as the only Black woman in New York’s Congressional delegation. We need leaders who come from – and are committed to – the inclusion and empowerment of communities of color and marginalized folks everywhere. And with several important cases pending before the Supreme Court, we need to act quickly. Will you sign on now? [[link removed]]
