Ben Therriault grew up on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Western Montana where he saw firsthand the value of leadership from his father who was the Tribal Chairman. Like his father, Ben knows the importance of community engagement and transparency as a means to bringing positive change.

He’s the right person to lead the critical conversations we must have around policing in our communities, and that’s why we endorse and support Ben Therriault for Contra Costa County Sheriff.

But there’s one problem …

Ben is in an uphill battle against an entrenched incumbent with a war chest, a closed door, and an affinity for working with ICE. [link removed]

After serving honorably in the Iraq War, where he was awarded several medals and awards, Ben went on to become a Richmond Police Officer, where for the past 14 years, he has committed himself to building relationships with all walks of life.

It’s hard to knock an incumbent out of office: even when they’re out of alignment with their community. Help us make sure everyone in Contra Costa County knows who Ben Therriault is!
