The U.S. Senate could vote to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act
very soon. [ [link removed] ]Send your message: Tell your U.S. senators to vote for this
life-saving legislation.

Right now, our U.S. senators have the chance to reauthorize the Violence
Against Women Act for the first time since 2013. It includes a life-saving
gun safety provision known as NICS Denial Notification, which requires the
federal government to notify relevant state, local, or tribal law
enforcement when a domestic abuser lies on a background check when trying
to illegally buy a gun.

It would be a huge win for gun safety—and the House has already passed it
with bipartisan support.

Now it's up to the Senate to pass this important bill as soon as possible.
