Stand in solidarity with workers at the City of Santa Barbara as their contract expires. Demand that City Council allocate more money to wage increases for their General Unit so City workers can live in the City they serve.

The City of Santa Barbara's General Unit, which represents the lowest paid and most diverse salaried bargaining group at the City, is calling on DSA members to comment to City Council with the following message. Please comment before Tuesday, March 15 to stand in solidarity with City workers as they fight for a fair contract:

Message: City staff deserves a fair contract. Cost of living and medical costs have increased drastically, and wages are not adequate. Staff can no longer afford to live in the City they serve. We request that you allocate more funds to pay your staff.
