When he was sworn in last March, Rhode Island had just received an “F” grade from Harvard for vaccine distribution and COVID-19 still loomed over day-to-day life, presenting the most challenging public health and economic crisis in a generation.
Governor McKee’s number one priority was to get shots in arms. Today, Rhode Island is leading the nation in both vaccination rates and economic recovery. [[link removed]]
We see the results of the Governor’s work every day: Because so many Rhode Islanders have been vaccinated and boosted, our schools have welcomed students back in-person, small businesses are getting back on their feet, family and friends have been reunited, and last summer music returned to Newport!
