Dear John,
When I got the message about a
generous new match opportunity, I had to get this email out to you
right away. Because you're such an important member of our community,
I wanted you to hear it first.

A generous donor who wishes to remain
anonymous has just pledged to match every gift, up to an extraordinary
$100,000, if we can raise the same amount by April 1. This remarkable
contribution will support critical local family services.
This match offer has arrived just when
it's needed most, as the number of Americans living with Alzheimer's
disease is growing and growing fast. Together, with our community, we
want to be able to offer care and support to even more families and
individuals in the coming year and accelerate global research.

John, this
generous offer makes today an ideal day to make your first gift to the
Alzheimer's Association. I really hope I can count on you today with a
gift of $16, $30 or maybe even $50, while it can double in impact and
help us deliver on our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and
all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving
risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and
support.

With the global prevalence of dementia
expected to nearly triple to more than 152 million people by 2050, our
Alzheimer's community is in a race against time - because
Alzheimer's is not just memory loss. Alzheimer's kills.
Although there are more White
Americans living with Alzheimer's and other dementias than any other
racial or ethnic group in the United States, older Black and Hispanic
Americans are disproportionately more likely than older White
Americans to have Alzheimer's or other dementias - with missed
diagnoses also more common in those groups. And almost two-thirds of
Americans with Alzheimer's are women.
With your support, we're continuing to

address these inequities, developing resources and support for all
families - including those from underserved communities. Many of
the more than 750 best-of-field research projects we're currently
funding address disparities among underrepresented communities -
with culturally informed care and support webinars, training and
support services also confronting this issue.
John, the
Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization
in Alzheimer's disease care, support and research. It's also a
donor-supported organization. So when you make your first gift as part
of our $100,000 2X Match Challenge today, you'll help make care and
support accessible to those who need it, while accelerating global
research.
