I was especially proud of these accomplishments because I’ve been working to build political power in disenfranchised communities, especially in New York, for my entire career. Before I served in Congress, I worked to build political power in Puerto Rican communities and since I've been in office, I've been committed to building campaign infrastructure so progressive women of color candidates have the support they need to advocate for their communities.
