I wanted to take a moment to tell you just how important you are to me.

When I think about the people I consider my most important supporters, I don’t think about the ones who make the largest donations to my campaign. I think about the ones who stood with me when I needed them the most.

I think about the people who were with me when I won my first election to the Maryland House of Delegates and my first campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives.

I think about the people who helped me pass the Affordable Care Act, Wall Street Reform, and the Economic Recovery Act.

I think about the people who were with me in my first campaign for the U.S. Senate six years ago.

And I think about the people who have been with me in this re-election campaign — as volunteers, supporters, and as small-dollar donors.

We’re in the thick of the campaign now, and before the attack ads start running against me, I need you with me one more time.
