John,

We are now one month into 2022 and that much closer to this year's
elections. 18 years ago when DFA was founded we were built upon the 50
state strategy and the belief that if we fight everywhere we can win
everywhere. And if we focus on candidates at all levels of office we will
make a MUCH greater impact across the country at the local, state, and
national levels.

This is all still true today. Over the years, we have developed programs
and built campaigns to support the 50 state strategy. There are three in
particular that I want to make sure you know about.

Before I get into detail on those programs, know that we can’t make any of
this happen without support from members like you. Small-dollar donations
and the donations of our active members are truly what make this work
possible. So I want to ask if it’s possible for you to make a donation now
at the beginning of the year to help launch each of these programs.
[ [link removed] ]Please, if possible, make a [ [link removed] ]$5, [ [link removed] ]$20[ [link removed] ], [ [link removed] ]$50[ [link removed] ], or [ [link removed] ]$100
[ [link removed] ]donation today to help support and expand this work?

Our early 2022 priority map will be focused on Arizona, Florida, Georgia,
Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and
Wisconsin, with the goal of expanding our majorities in the US House and
US Senate. We will still execute our 50 state strategy and support
candidates in other states, but we have three additional programs that our
team will be implementing “layering” on top of that strategy: Purple to
Blue, Flip the South and Establish Justice. Now, let me share a little
more about each of them.

* PURPLE TO BLUE:
We launched our Purple to Blue program in 2013. Since then, we have
expanded our reach and investment. We are identifying and recruiting
great progressive candidates, creating winning strategies for
individual campaigns, and investing in races strategically to maximize
our investment. We are training our candidates and their teams to run
data-driven organizing campaigns and we are building power by engaging
our movement partners to join the fight earlier than they
traditionally do.

* FLIP THE SOUTH:
One program we soft-launched last year and will be fully executing
this year is our Flip the South campaign. We know that Democrats have
the potential to do much better in the South than they have in the
past. We know that the electorate exists to flip these states, but
they have been written off by others and there hasn't been a
willingness to actively engage. While our overall Flip the South
program includes southern states from Texas to Florida and up to
Virginia, Our 2022 work will be heavily focused on both state
legislative and congressional seats in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia,
and Florida.

* ESTABLISH JUSTICE INITIATIVE:
We launched our Establish Justice Initiative in August of 2021.
Democrats have ignored and neglected judicial seats for years while
Republicans have flipped courts across the country. This has led to
inequity in our justice system, elections, and other key issues. Our
Establish Justice campaign will focus on statewide judicial seats,
state’s attorneys/district attorneys, and municipal judicial seats.

Finally, I have to stress that we can’t wait until Labor Day or the
beginning of summer to expand this work. Frankly, we can’t even wait until
spring. The first election is March 1st in Texas, so we have no time to
waste. Early vote starts in less than two weeks. If we do the work that we
need to do and do it right, we will win, despite attempts to
disenfranchise voters and steal the election. We must start now and we
can’t stop until we win.

Thank you for considering making an [ [link removed] ]investment in this work.

My Best,

Yvette
