Hello, John — It’s Akbar here, Josh Shapiro’s Policy Director. My job on this campaign is to meet with community leaders, small business owners, policy experts, and Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth to learn more about the problems we’re all facing — and work with Josh to figure out how to fix them.

After watching what happened in the 2020 election — and the GOP’s sham “audit” immediately after — Josh and I knew we had to come out swinging with a blueprint to protect our right to vote. Pennsylvanians are worried about a lot right now, from COVID to the economy to their kid’s education. They should not have to worry about the instability of our democracy, too.
