Right now in the United States, 4.6 million children live in homes with access to an unlocked or unsupervised gun. And while 1 in 5 parents believe their child has never handled a gun without supervision, they're wrong.

Every day, eight children and teens are unintentionally shot by an unsecured firearm and nearly 60 Americans die by suicide with a gun. These horrific incidences are called "family fire" -- and it's long past time we do something about it.
