Tuesday, February 8, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. ET
Panels of distinguished authors and experts will present their work and
engage in discussions on the historical context, evolving research
practices and policies, and the lived experience of populations whose
health has been harmed by individual and structural racism.
A highlight of the event will be the reading of "Identity," an original
poem by Sharon Attipoe-Dorcoo, which will be published in the issue.
Online streaming details will be shared with registrants 24 hours in
advance of the event.

Race, Place, And Structural Racism: A Review Of Health And History In
Washington, DC
Monday, February 7, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. ET
Health Affairs will host a salon-style discussion of how structural
racism and historical events socially, economically, and politically
disenfranchised Black residents in the District of Columbia, yielding
stark differences in health outcomes by race and place.
Moderated by Amanda Michelle Gomez of DC public radio station WAMU, the
panel will include Georgetown University Professor Christopher
King-the author of the study in the event title, and Health Affairs
Editor-in-Chief Alan Weil.
