[1]Cori Bush

John, today marks
the beginning of Black History Month.

But we know that every day is an important day to celebrate and
acknowledge all of the work that Black history makers in St. Louis have
done and continue to do to advance our vision for racial justice.

The modern movement in defense of Black lives was born on the streets of
Ferguson. St. Louis elected the first Black woman to represent Missouri in
Congress. And it’s because of all of your love and support from St. Louis
that Cori is able to advocate for the bold, anti-racist policies we need
in Congress.

We came here to Congress to save Black lives and livelihoods, and that’s
what we’re going to do. So in honor of Black History Month, we want to
make it loud and clear that it’s time for reparations. It’s time to remove
white supremacists from our government. It’s time we address the health
disparities Black mothers, pregnant people, and children face. It’s time
we end the cycle of police violence and systemic racism that pervades our
communities.

Cori is proud to lead this work toward this future — not only during Black
History Month — but every day of the year. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in
$5 or anything you can today to support Cori as she leads
our movement to save and honor Black lives?

We’re proud of the historic movement we’ve built. But we think it’s
important you understand what we’re up against in our mission to save
Black lives in Congress. Since Cori’s first day in office the GOP, Fox
News, and every right-wing media group has made Cori a top target of their
false, racist attacks — and it’s only been getting worse.

They know that leaders like Cori pose a threat to the status quo. They
know that Cori ran on a promise to legislate in defense of Black lives.
And they know that the people-powered movement Cori is growing threatens
their white supremacist agenda.

We’re determined to move forward and make bold progress no matter the
obstacles the far-right throws in our way. [ [link removed] ]Will you chip
in $5 to help power Cori’s work in Congress as she leads
the movement to save Black lives and dismantle systemic racism in our
country? Your donation sends a loud message to white supremacists this
Black History Month that this movement isn’t slowing down.

Together,

Team Cori
