According to a recent Gallup Poll, over 40% of Americans ([link removed]) now identify themselves as independent.

Neither of the major parties can claim that even 30% of Americans affiliate with them.

We are rapidly approaching the point where half of the people are independent - they have no political “home.”

Someone you know may currently be politically homeless. That is, they no longer believe that the philosophies of the Republicans and Democrats represent them. Could they find a home in libertarianism?

Maybe the people you know are more libertarian due to them being affiliated with you, but many others may be looking for a political home.
