Bianca — I’m the campaign manager for Team Booker.
I wanna let you in on some behind the scenes plans for our campaign and
let you know our strategy to mobilize a record number of voters in all 120
counties and turn Kentucky blue next year.

field team can start making the early investments we need to register and
contact a record number of voters leading up to the election.
Ever since Charles ran for U.S. Senate last year, his motto has been ‘From
the hood, to the holler.’
Meaning if we want to transform the future of Kentucky: We need to come
together — from all walks of life, different backgrounds, representing
communities across the Commonwealth — to create a winning movement.
For too long, there’s been this myth that Kentucky will forever be a red
state. But the truth is it’s a disenfranchised state. It’s a commonwealth
where a whole lot of people haven’t felt heard in a long time, and where
the number of people who don’t vote outnumber those who do. Republicans
know this — so their plan is to continue dividing us, distracting us from
the common priorities we share, and discouraging us from voting.
We plan on ending that cycle. That means we need to start investing ASAP
in:
* Building a grassroots network of organizers
* Training volunteer coordinators
* Purchasing voter outreach tools
* Printing voter registration informational materials
* Setting up a fund to pay for gas for our teams as they travel across
Kentucky
* And so much more
So here’s the part where we ask you for your help. To kickoff our
organizing plan, we set up a rough budget:
We’ve
randomly selected you as a potential sponsor of Jefferson County
in KY.
We’ve got about 632781 registered voters there. At a cost of
roughly $0.25 per voter, we’ll need to raise about $158,195 to
cover our budget and reach every voter in Jefferson County.
