Welcome to our weekly newsletter about mental health services and support available in Barnet and beyond. Also bringing you updates on Inclusion Barnet mental health news. Produced by Ed Peston, Communications Assistant.

Inclusion Barnet Events and News User Voice Forum

Join our next monthly informal catchup online on Wednesday 9th February 6 to 7pm. Anyone who is based in Barnet can join if you are disabled, have a mental health condition or long-term health condition or care for someone else that does.

This month we will be discussing what we wish other people knew about the barriers we face. That could be a physical barrier (such as lack of access) or the attitudes of other people that make our lives more difficult. It’s free, you can sign up using the link below and you can join in a way that feels most comfortable for you. Video camera on or off, join in the conversation or just listen, write in the chat or join for just part of the session.

Please let us know of accessibility needs in advance.

"Participants wanted for an online study investigating the role of mental images in worries about health

At the University of Oxford they are interested in learning about how thoughts and mental images related to illness can make people feel when they think about them. They hope the findings from this study will help us better understand anxiety about health and improve how people are supported. They would like to hear from you if you are aged 18 and older, live in the UK and experience health anxiety or difficulties with OCD. Taking part involves answering online questionnaire and an online interview task.
