User Voice ForumJoin our next monthly informal catchup online on Wednesday 9th February 6 to 7pm. Anyone who is based in Barnet can join if you are disabled, have a mental health condition or long-term health condition or care for someone else that does. This month we will be discussing what we wish other people knew about the barriers we face. That could be a physical barrier (such as lack of access) or the attitudes of other people that make our lives
more difficult. It’s free, you can sign up using the link below and you can join in a way that feels most comfortable for you. Video camera on or off, join in the conversation or just listen, write in the chat or join for just part of the session. Please let us know of accessibility needs in advance. New Instagram campaignWe have just launched a new Instagram account, @Equivox_campaign, where we're posting short videos and written quotes of disabled people’s lived experiences, including those with long-term health or mental health conditions. You can follow us there, contribute your own stories, invite friends and acquaintances to follow us, and comment on/share the stories you hear. "Participants wanted for an online study investigating the role of mental images in worries about healthAt the University of Oxford they are interested in learning about how thoughts and mental images related to illness can make people feel when they think about them. NeuroLoveNeuroLove was created to support young people who are between 8 – 25 years old, to stay emotionally and physically well. NeuroLove's Social Therapists offer mentoring (a type of supportive relationship). They provide encouragement and inspiration to help young people improve and maintain their emotional and physical wellbeing. The 30-minute sessions are free for young people to book and offer a space to talk and share their thoughts and
experiences with someone who will listen and offer support where necessary. More information

We are an independent support group, run by ex service users, for service users, their carers and supporters.

Nearly all of our directors and staff have lived experience of disability, including mental health issues and/or long-term health conditions. We believe that learning to use our lived experience for social change is a skill. We have become experts in harnessing the lived experience of our staff, members, volunteers and the people who use
our services to design and deliver higher quality, more person-centred services. Other services run by Inclusion Barnet that you might be interested in are: Benefits Advice Service (supporting disabled people in Barnet to access the benefits they are entitled to). Touchpoint (supports people experiencing any form of disability in Barnet to access the services and resources they need). Healthwatch Barnet (an independent, statutory organisation dedicated to improving health and social care services in Barnet).
