Former MN GOP Senate Majority Leader and candidate for Governor Paul Gazelka doubles-down on pledge to roll back voting rights

John,

In an interview with Chad Hartman, MN GOP former Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka was once again unable to simply say “yes” when pressed on whether or not he believed Joe Biden “definitively won” the 2020 election.

Instead, Gazelka echoed election conspiracy theories – and the week of Martin Luther King Day no less – claimed the national push to protect voting rights was an attempt by Democrats to “rig the system.”

The Republican candidate for governor also defended his aggressive push to pass a suppressive voter ID bill last legislative session and reiterated his commitment to rolling back the voting rights of Minnesotans if he’s elected.

John, it’s no exaggeration to say that our democracy is at stake this November. After last night, it’s clear the fight for voting rights will be won or lost at the state level, and we can’t afford to take any chances.

With just eleven days to go to our first end-of-month deadline of 2022, Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan are counting on your support. Can you pitch in $25 (or whatever works today) so we can keep Minnesota blue and secure our voting rights for generations to come?

Thank you,

Team Walz
