In an interview with Chad Hartman, MN GOP former Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka was once again unable to simply say “yes” when pressed on whether or not he believed Joe Biden “definitively won” the 2020 election.

Instead, Gazelka echoed election conspiracy theories – and the week of Martin Luther King Day no less – claimed the national push to protect voting rights was an attempt by Democrats to “rig the system.”

The Republican candidate for governor also defended his aggressive push to pass a suppressive voter ID bill last legislative session and reiterated his commitment to rolling back the voting rights of Minnesotans if he’s elected.

John, it’s no exaggeration to say that our democracy is at stake this November. After last night, it’s clear the fight for voting rights will be won or lost at the state level, and we can’t afford to take any chances.
