This afternoon, HB 5, the 15-week abortion ban proposed in the Florida Legislature, passed its first House committee on a 12-6 vote.
Obviously this is devastating news for reproductive rights in Florida and only underscores how important it is we elect pro-choice women to the legislature. Our endorsed women on the committee did an incredible job standing up for abortion rights and illuminating how dangerous this bill really is.
