Hi Supporter,

In just two weeks, the second annual 1.5 Degree Challenge will begin – a nod to the 1.5 degrees celsius we must keep global temperature rises below.
We’re in a climate crisis. Last year, we experienced extreme weather as a direct result of climate change that impacted every corner of our country – the California wildfires that burned nearly 1 million acres last summer alone, the Texas blackout that was caused by more extreme temperature changes, the unprecedented heatwaves in the Pacific Northwest, and the extreme storms and flooding in the midwest, leading to power outages for hundreds of thousands.

The extreme weather events we’re already experiencing will continue to rapidly worsen unless the world cuts carbon pollution in half in the next ten years and eliminates it altogether by 2050.
The choices we make together now will shape the health of our planet for decades to come, but we still have the power to prevent the worst outcomes.
You can put your feelings into action when you join the 1.5 Degree Challenge.
