We’re in a climate crisis. Last year, we experienced extreme weather as a direct result of climate change that impacted every corner of our country – the California wildfires that burned nearly 1 million acres last summer alone, the Texas blackout that was caused by more extreme temperature changes, the unprecedented heatwaves in the Pacific Northwest, and the extreme storms and flooding in the midwest, leading to power outages for hundreds of thousands.
The extreme weather events we’re already experiencing will continue to rapidly worsen unless the world cuts carbon pollution in half in the next ten years and eliminates it altogether by 2050.
The choices we make together now will shape the health of our planet for decades to come, but we still have the power to prevent the worst outcomes.
Sign up with your $35 registration donation to support Sierra Club’s climate and environmental justice work.
From January 17 - February 18, commit to any 15-minute activity a day that inspires you. Go for a walk, play in the snow, ride your stationary bike, do sun salutations (we’ll send you a calendar you can use to track!).
You’ll get an invitation to join our FB group where you can post your activities and connect with others around the country.
We’ll send you more information on how you can be proactive in the climate crisis.
We must make changes in the way we live, from where we get our energy to how we get from place to place. Thank you for being a part of this change.
Team Sierra
P.S. We’re still processing registrations, so THANK YOU if you already signed up.
