John,

Sometimes, it’s really hard to explain what I do for a living or why it's important to the nonprofits I’ve worked with.

Ironically, all the caregivers I know are in the exact same situation — I get the same level of confusion when explaining both of my roles! As I’m sure you know, it is only when I talk about what caregiving entails — medication scheduling and check ins, bathing, changing, doctors appointments, etc. — that people actually understand what caregiving is.

Same goes for fundraising, so here’s a simple analogy I hope will help clarify why it’s important.

Caring Across has been building our community of activists, allies, and fellow caregivers for the last decade through organizing activities, policy research and advocacy, as well as culture change tactics. All of these ‘roots’ have fed and supported our own ‘tree of life’ — which continues to blossom and grow, changing the very parameters of what we thought was possible before this year.

Our tree is rooted in building people power, and has led us to a moment where public opinion is driving care infrastructure support in Build Back Better. That’s the power of our caring majority — your power!

The same way you have provided us your voice, your dedication, and advocacy these past ten years, we also need your gifts as well.

Make a contribution today to help support this vital work. [[link removed]]

While we’ve been fortunate enough to have the great support of many extraordinary philanthropists that support advancing care work, it is the individual contributions of a robust constituency that preserve the fiscal sustainability of any nonprofit to continue their work.

You have been our greatest champions when it comes to using your voice to back our care policies — we need you and the power of your gifts to ensure we are able to keep up this momentum and reimagine the next decade of care infrastructure for all our families.

For all the ways you’ve watered our soil and provided light for our tree of care advocacy to grow, we ask that you kindly provide your gifts to help us grow even more. And if you make your gift before January 1st, you’ll DOUBLE the value of your gift thanks to our generous challenge donor!

Make your gift today! [[link removed]]
