[1]Real Justice

John,

My job as Digital Director at Real Justice encompasses all of our online
mobilization strategy — and near the top of that list is digital
fundraising.

Our digital fundraising comes entirely from folks like you who give when
you read emails like this one, when you see one of our digital ads,
through word-of-mouth of other supporters, or if you just happen upon us
and our efforts organically.

As long as Real Justice has existed, we’ve relied heavily on our digital
fundraising to power our efforts — from electing DAs across the country
who are confronting mass incarceration and police violence to fighting for
the freedom of those who are wrongfully incarcerated to showing up and
holding politicians accountable when they continue to uphold such a
violent legal system.

This year, we took on some enormous efforts that set us back by a pretty
significant amount financially, but we were prepared because we knew our
community of online supporters is incredibly strong.

But I’ll be honest — our fundraising has slowed down and it couldn’t have
come at a worse time. Our opponents are targeting our work and frankly, we
don’t have the funding they do.

We have big, incredibly important plans for 2022. We’re not backed by big
corporate donors or those who can give unlimited amounts.

So, when we ask for donations, especially through emails like this, it’s
because we really need the support. Most of the people who read these
emails don’t give — and sometimes they plan to, but forget.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re in a position to give right now, will you make a donation of
whatever you can afford? Even just a few dollars from everyone who is
reading this right now would be enough to help us hit our goal.

John, I am
so proud and humbled to have the backing of people like you.

It keeps us accountable to you and it keeps us grounded in our grassroots
efforts.

I have seen the power of these contributions save lives,
John.

I have seen how they have helped us scale up our efforts as an
organization, directly delivered wins for our elected DAs, and changed the
lives of so many people across the country.

[ [link removed] ]Your donation really matters,
John. No matter the amount,
what you give has a big impact. Will you make that donation today and help
us keep up the fight for real justice for our communities?

Thank you for what you do and for whatever you can give. Myself and
everyone at Real Justice are so grateful to have you with us.

With gratitude,

Zoë Wong
Digital Director
Real Justice
