Earlier this month, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced a $1 billion investment in affordable housing — the largest investment in our city's history.

Creating affordable places to live is about more than just putting a roof over people's heads. Safe and reliable housing is an essential anchor for all aspects of our lives. When people have a place to call home, they can show up in other areas of their lives, including at work, in school and around their communities.

We're so proud of Mayor Lori Lightfoot's efforts to create more housing for lower and middle-income Chicagoans. We want her to KEEP fighting as leader of this great city, which is why we're working around the clock to meet our end-of-year fundraising goal. John, will you help us out by pitching in a few dollars right now?

Not only are 10 of the 24 developments led by people of color, but 8 of those investments will be located in our South and West Side neighborhoods.

Together, we can create a more equitable economic recovery that works from the bottom up and puts our communities first.

Please help Mayor Lightfoot continue to make strides by chipping in before our end-of-year fundraising deadline >>

Thank you,
