Earlier this month, Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced a $1 billion investment in affordable housing — the largest investment in our city's history.

Creating affordable places to live is about more than just putting a roof over people's heads. Safe and reliable housing is an essential anchor for all aspects of our lives. When people have a place to call home, they can show up in other areas of their lives, including at work, in school and around their communities.

We're so proud of Mayor Lori Lightfoot's efforts to create more housing for lower and middle-income Chicagoans. We want her to KEEP fighting as leader of this great city, which is why we're working around the clock to meet our end-of-year fundraising goal.
