You're an important part of TLC's circle, and I'm writing first to say thank you . I am inspired and energized every time I see the way you and so many others invest in our trans and gender nonconforming communities.

Our work remains urgent . Your support means that we are able to use all the tools at our disposal to fight for our collective liberation – including impact litigation, movement building, leadership development, narrative change, and more.

Highlights of TLC's work in 2021 include:

-- We secured an important victory in BAGLY v. HHS, our case challenging Trump's rollback of nondiscrimination provisions under the Affordable Care Act. We built a strong coalition including trans folks, people seeking reproductive care, Indigenous communities, and people living with HIV to challenge the "Rollback Rule."

-- We released new best-practice guides for journalists to sensitively and accurately report on anti-trans youth athletics bans and anti-trans medical bans.

-- We held our second annual Fierce Freedom School with our partners at Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project, a multi-week skill and leadership-building virtual convening that connects and amplifies the voices of Black trans women and Black trans femme leaders, both US-born and immigrant voices critically needed on a national level.
