Dear friend,

You're an important part of TLC's circle, and I'm writing first to say thank you. I am inspired and energized every time I see the way you and so many others invest in our trans and gender nonconforming communities.

I am writing today also to ask you to consider making a donation before the end of year.

Our work remains urgent. Your support means that we are able to use all the tools at our disposal to fight for our collective liberation – including impact litigation, movement building, leadership development, narrative change, and more.

Highlights of TLC's work in 2021 include:

  • We secured an important victory in BAGLY v. HHS, our case challenging Trump's rollback of nondiscrimination provisions under the Affordable Care Act. We built a strong coalition including trans folks, people seeking reproductive care, Indigenous communities, and people living with HIV to challenge the "Rollback Rule."
  • We released new best-practice guides for journalists to sensitively and accurately report on anti-trans youth athletics bans and anti-trans medical bans.
  • We held our second annual Fierce Freedom School with our partners at Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project, a multi-week skill and leadership-building virtual convening that connects and amplifies the voices of Black trans women and Black trans femme leaders, both US-born and immigrant voices critically needed on a national level.

We hope that you will dig deep and consider a gift that is meaningful to you.

Thank you for being with us in movements for liberation.

In gratitude,
