*POLICY ALERT BID FOR FUNDING FOR PRIVATE SECTOR RENTAL SECTOR CLOSING DATE 1 DEC 2019*
This alert provides brief details and links on how councils can bid to recently announced government funding.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government announced [ [link removed] ] on 4th November that an additional 3.8 million of funding is available.
Through the *Private Rented Sector Innovation and Enforcement* grant scheme councils can bid for funds to:
* support projects which take effective and targeted action against criminal landlords
* support good landlords in fulfilling their responsibilities
* empower tenants to make good use of their rights
In a similar 2 million funding round last year, 100 councils and 56 projects were funded.
