POLICY ALERT ? BID FOR FUNDING FOR PRIVATE SECTOR RENTAL SECTOR ? CLOSING DATE 1 DEC 2019
This alert provides brief details and links on how councils can bid to recently announced government funding.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government announced on 4th November that an additional ?3.8 million of funding is available.
Through the Private Rented Sector Innovation and Enforcement grant scheme councils can bid for funds to:
- support projects which take effective and targeted action against criminal landlords
- support good landlords in fulfilling their responsibilities
- empower tenants to make good use of their rights
In a similar ?2 million funding round last year, 100 councils and 56 projects were funded.
