Dear John,

For those of us united in the fight
against Alzheimer's disease, the term "season of giving"
takes on a whole new meaning. People living with Alzheimer's may feel
a sense of loss during the holidays because of the changes they've
experienced - and caregivers may feel overwhelmed by maintaining
traditions while providing care and keeping their loved ones safe.
That's why your support is needed more than ever at this time of
year.

Today, I'm honored to share with you
that a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous has given us a
fabulous gift for this holiday season by pledging to match all gifts
received, up to $200,000 - if we raise the same amount by
December 31.

Our match donor's gift will support
the Tau Pipeline Enabling Program (T-PEP), a funding initiative to
accelerate drug development breakthroughs that could help mitigate the
toxic effects of tau protein "tangles" in the brain. Because
tau tangles are implicated in a number of neurodegenerative disorders,
the research made possible by T-PEP could potentially benefit
individuals living with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease,
frontotemporal dementia and more. When you make a gift today, it can
go twice as far to enhance care and support for the more than 6
million Americans living with Alzheimer's, while accelerating critical
research around the globe.

The holidays are often filled with
sharing, laughter and traditions. But for families affected by
Alzheimer's, this "most wonderful time" can bring stress and
sadness.

We're here to help through resources
available at alz.org, so that caregivers and other loved ones of
people living with Alzheimer's can find

helpful tips on getting through the holidays, such as how to have
conversations with family members in advance to manage expectations
regarding the size and type of holiday celebration. Our free 24/7
Helpline (800.272.3900) is also available to offer support and
resources, day or night.

By making your first gift as part of
our $200,000 Holiday Match Challenge today, you'll help ensure we can
provide high-quality care and support to everyone who needs us this
holiday season and beyond, while also accelerating the most promising
dementia research worldwide.
