Today, the conservative-majority Supreme Court began hearing oral arguments in the most consequential abortion rights case in decades. This case could overturn Roe v. Wade , meaning abortion access in Florida could fall into the hands of the Republican-controlled state legislature.
Earlier this year, Republicans in Florida introduced a Texas-style abortion bill that would ban abortion at six weeks. In the upcoming legislative session, we are guaranteed to see more bills aimed at restricting reproductive rights and abortion access. If Roe is overturned, the consequences will be dire.
The only way to stop Republican state leaders from gutting our reproductive rights is to vote them out and elect Democratic pro-choice women.
