Dear John,
Now that Thanksgiving has come and
gone, it's truly the holiday season. Many of us will spend our time
making holiday lists and searching for gifts. And, #GivingTuesday is
tomorrow - one of the most important days of the year to make a
difference and support the causes that matter most to you.

Please take just a few moments to give something special this
#GivingTuesday: hope for the millions of people and families whose
lives are affected by Alzheimer's disease.

I know finding a cure for Alzheimer's
disease and providing care and support to those in need matters to you
because of the strong interest you've shown in our work. That's why
I'm urging you to make your first gift today in honor of
#GivingTuesday. And right now, any amount you give, up to $800,000,
can make 2X the impact during our $800,000 Matching Gift Challenge.

We're thankful to our generous donor,
who wishes to remain anonymous and who has pledged $800,000 to the
Alzheimer's Association if we can raise that same amount by December
31.
That means that all donations made to
this challenge, up to a total of $800,000, can be matched. Our donor's
gift will help to expand local health systems outreach, and train and
support health care providers through Project ECHO to enable them to
better understand Alzheimer's and all other dementia and make accurate
and timely diagnoses. Your gift today will help provide care and
support and accelerate research toward new methods of treatment,
prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's.

By making your gift during this
incredible match challenge, you'll help to drive our mission to lead
the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by
accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early
detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

And by taking part in #GivingTuesday,
you're taking part in:
* Supporting more than 750 best-of-field research projects in 39
countries.
* Ensuring that when someone reaches out, they can find the
resources and support they need, whether that's connecting with
master's-level clinicians via our free 24/7 Helpline
(800.272.3900) or seeking help online through our Community
Resource Finder.

* Advocating for federal and state policies that will protect
those living with Alzheimer's and support their dedicated
caregivers.
It's clear that Alzheimer's disease
has become, in so many ways, the fight of our lives - for our
health, for our families and for our future. Between 2000 and 2019,
deaths from Alzheimer's increased by 145%. During that same period of
time, deaths from heart disease decreased by 7.3%. This is a fight we
can win only by working together.
