Raleigh, NC — North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley released the following statement:

"After five weeks of hiding from the public, House Democrats finally put it on display for the country to see: they have no interest in governing on behalf of the American people. Numerous outlets have reported on the blowback of this sham investigation and nearly sixty percent of the country <[link removed]> is against impeachment. Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are making a mockery of the Constitution in an attempt to lead a coup against a duly elected President. This will not stand and it will not be forgotten in 2020."
