[1]Real Justice
John,
Did you see Shaun’s email yesterday?
Thanks to the tireless work of THOUSANDS, including people like you,
Julius Jones was not executed yesterday. He was taken off death row and
given a sentence of life without the possibility of parole. It’s a
bittersweet outcome.
Now, his team can fight to hopefully get him free once and for all.
But here’s the thing: it should have never gotten that far.
And there’s one person who could have put a stop to all of it: District
Attorney David Prater.
[ [link removed] ]Yesterday, we launched a big campaign to replace him, because we know
that if a better, Real Justice-elected DA had been in his place, Julius
might be free today. Can you chip in right now to help replace DA Prater
and more corrupt DA’s like him with Real Justice-backed champions?

Every step of the way, DA Prater was as corrupt as you could get.
From refusing to hear eyewitness testimony, to trying to intimidate the
EXTREMELY conservative Oklahoma Pardon & Parole Board, and doing whatever
he could to execute Julius.
And though we can’t go back and undo all the harm done to Julius, we CAN
fight like hell to replace David Prater. Because a new DA could fight for
Julius' freedom and would impact countless other lives in Oklahoma County.
[ [link removed] ]For Julius Jones and for so many others who have been at the mercy of
such a corrupt, racist legal system — stand up right now and be a founding
member of our campaign to replace David Prater.
Let’s do this,
Real Justice
