** Authentic Voices of Pride: Youth Homelessness
------------------------------------------------------------
Across the United States, LGBTQ youth drop-in centers aim to minimize harm to homeless youth and help them build a foundation for security and stability. We met with Lilianna Reyes and the staff of Detroit's Ruth Ellis Center to discuss this vital issue.
For them, the job is personal - 100% of the Ruth Ellis drop-in center staff are formerly homeless or were housing insecure before they came to the Ruth Ellis center themselves. The staff of the Ruth Ellis drop-in center have overcome huge obstacles to give back and improve the lives of LGBTQ youth.
In this series of Authentic Voices of Pride ([link removed]) , we follow success stories of formerly unhoused youth and spotlight the organizations that put them on the road to a better future.
