[link removed] [[link removed]]Dear John,
For years, right-wing media has spread lies, hate, and conspiracy theories to advance the interests of the Republican Party. But now their strategy is reaching new and alarming levels:
*
Corporate
media
giant
AT&T
founded
One
American
News
(OAN),
a
wildly
pro-Trump
source
of
far-right
conspiracy
theories
that
pushes
lies
about
COVID-19,
the
January
6
insurrection,
transgender
youth,
and
more.
*
The
Republican
Party
has
created
at
least
1,300
fake
local
news
websites
that
publish
far-right
propaganda
and
spread
misinformation
designed
to
help
Republicans
win
elections.
*
Fox
News
has
regained
the
lead
among
cable
news,
led
by
the
through-the-roof
ratings
of
Tucker
Carlson
Tonight.
In
fact,
in
the
last
few
months,
Fox
News
has
gotten
nearly
three
times
as
many
viewers
as
CNN.
We know the right-wing media disinformation machine is deadly. We saw the consequences on January 6. And we see the consequences every single day, when people who refuse to take the vaccine are intubated or die because of COVID-19 conspiracy theories.
That’s why the team here at Inequality Media has launched a massive effort to inoculate the public against Trump's lies by testing and deploying the most effective messages with key constituencies across the country while building the largest possible audience across social media.
The results we’re seeing are strong. But the right wing has stepped up its disinformation campaign -- which means we need to double down on our efforts to combat their lies.
Will you make a donation and help make sure we have the resources to reach the millions of people being targeted by the far right and counter their most damaging lies and conspiracy theories? [[link removed]]

But one of the big challenges we face as a country is that so many people live in their own echo chambers, seeing opinions that only confirm what they already believe. Getting through to them with messages that will resonate and stick is increasingly difficult.
That's why Inequality Media has launched a strategically crucial initiative, to run scientific A/B tests to find out which messages are most effective with critical constituencies, including suburban women, communities of color, young people, and rural communities.
We've already had impressive success in building our audience among persuadable conservatives, young people, and other critical blocs. But there's too much at stake, and the lies are only getting bigger and more dangerous.
Will you chip in to Inequality Media and help build support for progressive change and inoculate key constituencies against the right wing’s lies? [[link removed]]
Thank you for joining the fight against right-wing extremism,
Robert Reich
