I am writing a quick note for John, because I’m proud of my Democratic colleagues and I for passing our landmark infrastructure bill last weekend.

But, John, after Republicans won the governorship in Virginia last week, it's clear: We are at a crossroads. This election has always served as a major test of Democrat’s strength going into the midterms, and right now it is not looking good for us.
