I am writing a quick note for John, because I’m proud of my Democratic colleagues and I for passing our landmark infrastructure bill last weekend.

But, John, after Republicans won the governorship in Virginia last week, it's clear: We are at a crossroads. This election has always served as a major test of Democrat’s strength going into the midterms, and right now it is not looking good for us.

Our progress is on the line. There is NO doubt that if Republicans win in just one year, they will roll back voting rights, reproductive rights, health care access, and so much more. We can’t allow this to happen.
