Did you know that the United States is the only developed country in the
world that doesn't have national paid leave — and is one of six countries
in the entire world that doesn't have a national paid leave policy?

Paid leave is vital for healthy families and healthy communities; it
supports our families, kids, older people, disabled people, immigrants,
students, and more. Yet the United States has never made it a priority to
enact a national paid leave policy of any sort.

But John, we
have a unique opportunity on our hands; NOW is the time to finally push
for paid leave and get this done for our communities.

Paid leave is now back in the Build Back Better Act after it was forced
out by establishment lawmakers. Now, we need to ensure it stays in there
and that the Build Back Better Act passes in full — and that no matter
what, Congress acts on a national paid leave standard.
