Did you know that the United States is the only developed country in the world that doesn't have national paid leave — and is one of six countries in the entire world that doesn't have a national paid leave policy?
Paid leave is vital for healthy families and healthy communities; it supports our families, kids, older people, disabled people, immigrants, students, and more. Yet the United States has never made it a priority to enact a national paid leave policy of any sort.
But John, we have a unique opportunity on our hands; NOW is the time to finally push for paid leave and get this done for our communities.
