*Working with us: becoming a supplier to the University of Nottingham*
UoN
Tuesday 19November 5 to 7pm

Thursday 21 November 8 to 10am

The University of Nottingham spends approximately 168m per annum on procurement activity across goods and services. Its a massive market for any business, but theres still a misconception that only big brands can compete for this work.

In recent years theres been a drive for public sector organisations to award contracts of all sizes to smaller firms. That is why we are taking a moment for self-reflection and are asking with so much work on the line, why do small businesses sometimes still feel like they cant compete?

This November, we will be hosting two events designed to enable the local business community to find out more about becoming a supplier to the University of Nottingham. Featuring Julia Fancourt, Director of Procurement Transformation at the University and her colleague Sam Welch, Procurement Transformation Manager, well be covering all aspects of the process, including the opportunities, the process and key contacts.

Nottingham Tabletop Industry Collective
Nottingham Tabletop Industry Collective

The Nottingham Tabletop Industry Collective is a group that was started to bring together the many, many people in Nottingham who work in the tabletop games industry. Our policy is very open, and we don't refuse membership - if you work, or want to work, in or around the field of tabletop games, you're welcome to join!

We have two main get-togethers:

The *Tabletop Industry Breakfast*, which happens like clockwork on the first Wednesday of the month, and always takes place from 8:30am at the Roebuck Inn on St James' Street. It tends to run until about 11am.

The *Tabletop Industry Social*, which intentionally doesn't have a fixed date or venue, but generally happens around the third week in the month. *There's a pinned tweet here [ [link removed] ]*which shows the next couple of dates. The industry social starts at 7pm and usually runs until closing time.

""Tabletop games" is a very broad term, but we generally include board games, card games, role-playing games, strategy games, miniatures games, war-games, hobby games and anything else that you play for fun around a table."
