Friend, The reality is hard to hear: Nearly 2.3 million children under the age of 5 in Yemen are suffering from acute malnutrition. 400,000 of those children are severely malnourished and are at imminent risk of death if they don't receive urgent treatment.
One-year old Ghosson is among the many children who’ve required treatment after falling ill as a result of severe acute malnutrition. Worried about her worsening condition and weight of just 11 pounds, Ghosson's family brought her to a UNICEF-supported hospital in Yemen, where she received treatment and was nursed back to health.
