Hannah here, Jessica's finance director. It's my job to keep track of our fundraising and make projections. In reality, that means I spend a lot of time refreshing ActBlue and updating spreadsheets.

That's especially important around our end-of-month deadlines - to make sure we stay on track and have the resources we need to win this race.

But I'll be honest: right now we're significantly behind where we need to be. That's not great.

As you know, this is a grassroots-funded campaign. We don't have billionaires or super PACs waiting to save us at the last minute. Coming up short is a real problem.

We still have time to get back on track before our deadline Thursday, but it means we're counting on a lot of people stepping up today.
