Hi John,
Well this is a breath of fresh air. Finally, someone from âthe governmentâ is being honest with the public about their approach to the climate crisis. Check it out below đ

Of course, this is actually the satirist Jolyon Rubinstein, who you may recognise from the BBCâs âThe Revolution Will Be Televisedâ. We asked him to go out, pretend to be from the government and ask the public what they really think of the UKâs inconsistent and inadequate approach to tackling climate change. Unsurprisingly, they werenât very impressed!

It really is all common sense. We have to tackle the climate crisis, and it will cost us far less to act now rather than later. If we recognise that we urgently need to move away from fossil fuels, we shouldnât approve exploration for new oil and gas fields. And if we want other countries to step up too, we should be getting our own (well insulated) house in order with proper support for clean transport, green heating and restoring nature.
Above all - and with critical COP26 climate talks just about to start - when the government makes a big fanfare about its climate promises, it needs to follow that up with climate actions!
Help us get the message out there today - please watch and share our video: [link removed], and if you havenât already, please sign our petition calling on Boris Johnson to step up - [link removed] - before talks begin.
Thank you for your support,
Best wishes,
Kate
